Our Story
Blue Rose started with a simple idea: to build a place that matters to Fairfield.
When we first walked into the old armory, we saw more than an empty building. We saw what it could become.
The space needed real work. Not just a surface renovation, but a full rebuild—the kind where you respect what’s there and take the time to do it right.
From the beginning, the vision was never to open just a restaurant or an event venue.
It was to create a place where people naturally come together—for a great meal, live music, a celebration, a class, or simply to hang out.
A place that’s alive in different ways at different times of day or night, depending what’s happening inside.
Now, finally, our vision is coming to life.
THE BUILDING
We created Blue Rose Ballroom & Bistro inside Fairfield’s 1910 old armory building, just a block from Central Park downtown.
What we love most about the building is that we were able to build so many different spaces inside it.
Our ballroom and bistro on the main floor hold down the big energy, bringing together live music, community events, awesome food, and room for hundreds of people to gather.
Upstairs, the second floor has a gallery space and rooms designed for classes, workshops, smaller gatherings, and anything else our community wants organize.
On the third floor, there’s a cozy bar, plus several tucked-away spaces for smaller events, intimate shows, and evenings that need a special kind of atmosphere.
Ba hub for different spaces, moods, and experiences, all under one roof.
VISION
Most important of all, we want people to feel comfortable here. When a room sounds good and feels right, everyone stays longer without thinking about it. And they want to come back, because they remember how good it felt to be there.
This vision is what guided our decisions with Blue Rose, from how the rooms are laid out to how the sound carries to how to move through the building. We knew if we could get the important details right, everything happening inside would be that much better.
COMMUNITY
We designed Blue Rose to be a true hub for culture and community in Fairfield. For five years, we’re been working to create this space, and now we want it to be for everyone.
For locals, for visitors, for students, artists, people passing through, and people who end up staying longer than they planned.
We don’t want any part of this to feel exclusive or overly curated. It’s meant to be a home base, a place you come back to again and again, for a meal or an event, or just to see what’s going on.
And because our community and guests are such a big part of Blue Rose, we know things around here will keep evolving over time.
This is only the beginning, and we’re so glad you’re part of it.
